The children in the after school gymnastics club took part in a competition at the end of the Autumn term club.
The gymnasts in key stage 1 took part in three events, a 15 second forward skip, a 20 second teddy bear roll and a 20 second front support. Key stage 2 took part in a 40 second forward skip, 30 second teddy bear roll and a 20 second front support with sideways hand movement. All of the children have been practising these skills during their training sessions alongside the events they will be taking part in at the Key steps competition in March.
Some great skills were displayed alongside determination and perseverance from all the gymnasts.
The winners were awarded certificates in our end of term “Celebration” assembly.
Well done to everyone and a big thank you to the year 6 leaders for helping to run and score the competition.
