We were all very surprised when we came into nursery last Friday to find that all our pens and pencils had disappeared!
After lots of debate about what had happened to them and who had taken them away, we decided that there was lots of other ways that we could make marks, create pictures and write.
These are some of the activities we explored…..cutting and sticking to create pictures using paper, card and straws, using “sticky string” to make letters and numbers, printing and stamping with ink and water and using magnets. We even thought of some different ways to represent the number of children who had come to nursery that day!
