On Tuesday children from year 1 and 2 had their first Forest School session in the woodlands. First, we listened to a story about a group of fairies who had recently lost their homes when a dragon accidently knocked them over. The dragon was very sorry and tried to help them re-build their houses but his claws were too long and sharp. As winter is approaching the children decided to build a new home for the fairies to live in.
Gathering interior decorations including acorn cups and a television.
The roof decorated with leaves.
Then we went on a mini-beast hunt.
These are the creatures we found:
A huge worm.
A centipede.
A woodlouse that had curled up into a ball.
