Today, year 6 considered the question ‘how do polar animals keep warm?’ After some research on insulators, we carried out an investigation to see if air or ‘blubber’ makes the best insulator. The children were pleased to hear that they could substitute blubber for lard and reached the conclusion that this was the best insulator by far.
