Today Ash Class visited The Old Forge Wartime House in Sittingbourne. We had a fantastic time finding out about life in 1943. We learnt that many things were rationed including clothes and food. We also found out about the dangers of the Blitz and had a go at using a stirrup pump.
We found out how many coupons we would need to buy a new set of clothes.
We looked at a baby’s gas mask and a 1940’s toaster.
We used a stirrup pump to put out a ‘fire’.
