We used Google Earth to look at our planets; we used the satellite pictures to find our school. We used the iPads to explore Google Earth for ourselves before creating our school from blocks. We then took aerial photos to compare the different views.
After finding out about different genetic characteristics last week, this week Birch class surveyed the class to see who did and didn’t have each characteristic. They then used this data to create bar charts. We found the most common characteristic was tongue rolling and the least common was having a cleft chin.
For the past couple of moths, Year 1 have been growing a variety of plants and vegetables. This week, we tasted some of the lettuces, I think it’s safe to say everyone enjoyed them!
