Maple Class spent some time this afternoon learning how to use google maps. They used the programe on iPads to find the way from one London landmark to another. Some of us also worked out how long it is going to take us to walk from Waterloo East Station to the London Eye next Friday.
The children in Year 2 were very excited, & had great fun, navigating Bee Bots around famous London landmarks on a map. The children soon realised it was not as easy as it looked, especially after ‘crashing’ their Bee Bots into famous buildings!
This week year 4 have been learning about different types of art. We developed our knowledge of photography and had a go at taking landscape photos from different perspectives.
In literacy Year1 used the iPads to complete a virtual tour of London some visited the Oval, The Royal Albert Hall and The British Museum.
Willow Class used the iPads to create a picture of a London vehicle. Designed a London background and created sliders to move their vehicles.
