Dance in Year 2

Year 2 had great fun learning different dance techniques this week. The children were then put in groups to choreograph their own dance using these new techniques. Next week the children will perform their dances to each other.


Year 5 have worked incredibly hard to create a poem about Henry VIII’s six wives. Their main focus was to include examples of effective language to engage and interest the reader.

The Digestive System

This week, Year 4 investigated the human digestive system from swallowing our first bite, to where it all ends. The children found it hilarious emphasising what happens to the food at the the end of the digestive system. Giving Directions

This week in Topic, Willow Class tried to direct their buses to the different landmarks in London using directional language like North, South, East and West, as well as left, right, and straight ahead. They learnt the mnemonic Naughty Elephants Squirt Water to help them remember the points of a compass.

Fire Safety

We were very lucky to have a firefighter come into school today to teach the children how to stay safe in the event of a fire. Some children were lucky enough to try on the uniform!

Digestive System

Beech Class conducted a rather messy experiment to see how food travels through our digestive system. I was really impressed with the facts they have learnt about each part of the digestive system. Well done Beech Class, you’re fab!
