It was an “all dad” occasion at the Oak class maths sharing session this week. Thank you for coming and sharing in our learning.
Oak class have been learning about halving this week….using pancakes! We worked in teams to share a pancake by first cutting it in half to make 2 pieces and then into quarters to make 4 pieces. The best bit was eating them afterwards!
Oak class are looking forward to enjoying their new role play area. In preparation for our “Pop up shop” that is happening next week, we are going to be pretending to be selling ice creams in our ice cream parlour!

On Thursday year 3 enjoyed a trip to the “Living land” show at the county showground, Detling. Oak class have been learning about the water cycle. We set up an experiment to recreate clouds and rain.
Oak class have used their observational skills to create some Spring flower paintings.
Oak class were very excited to hear that Timmy the tortoise had woken from his winter hibernation and was able to come and visit us. We found out lots of interesting information about how to look after a pet tortoise. Thank you to Kara’s family for bringing him in.
Oak class enjoyed taking part in this terms tribal challenge, a relay race. All our practise during the daily mile is paying off, as everyone did a great job of persevering and collaborating to complete the 40 laps. Well done Oak class.
