Oak class have been learning about “Guy Fawkes” night and why we see fireworks at this time of the year. We learnt how to stay safe near fireworks and we created some firework pictures by combining paint, glitter and crayons.
After reading a funny story called “Vegetable glue” Oak class enjoyed trying some new vegetables dipped in Tzatziki dip. We were very impressed with their willingness to try something new!
Oak class enjoyed their first school trip of the year this week. We travelled by train to Sheerness, to visit “Kidz City” a children’s role play activity centre. We had a great time!
Everyone has been working really hard during our gymnastics training sessions. We have now finished learning our first routine. Next week we are moving onto some balance work on a beam.
Oak class have been practising their skills of segmenting the sounds in words.
Oak class enjoyed making pizzas as a Friday treat this week.
Oak class had great fun getting wet and messy during our annual mini mudder event.
The new members of Oak class have had a great start to their time at school. Our first couple of days have seen us taking part in lots of exercise, whilst exploring our surroundings.
Oak Class had a wonderful day taking part in their Annual Sports day Event. They completed a variety of sporting activities including: Long Jump Speed Bounce 60m Sprint …it was lovely to see so many of our families attending (and joining in!) with this event.
A big Well Done to our Oak Class nomination for the Beverley Fisher Award 2019, who was joined by her family to receive her award.
