We role played the Three Billy Goats Gruff in literacy to help us write a character description for the Troll.
Well done one to the children in Maple & Beech Class who took part in the tag rugby festival this afternoon. All the children participated in rugby activities before taking to the pitch to play head to head games against other schools in the area. An excellent effort was displayed by all!
We have been learning about all things shape this week in Maths. It has been a fairly practical week of learning, the class have been using nets to create 3D shapes and then were given cubes to see how many different cuboids they could make. Roll on the investigation tomorrow…
We have enjoyed watching “Number blocks” to support our maths learning. We then used cubes to print our own number blocks.
Oak class used paint, glitter and chalks to recreate the fireworks they have seen this week.
After learning about the life cycle of an oak tree, the children in Oak class went hunting for leaves and then after observing what they looked like they used pencil and paper to draw a picture.
Year 3 had a very fun and engaging afternoon learning how to warm up their voices before singing. The children learnt about making sure their body is not tight but relaxed and ready to sing. The children applied their knowledge to sing some songs.
