Willow Class used the iPads to create a picture of a London vehicle. Designed a London background and created sliders to move their vehicles.
To understand positional language for maths Year 1 used the Adventure Village to practically explore.
We acted out the Queen’s hat by Steve Antony. One person in the group pretended to be the hat and the rest of the group had to chase it to different landmarks in London. We needed to understand the characters to write our own narrative.
On the last day of term in phonics we had an alternative grapheme hunt for the phoneme ‘ee’
Year 1 & 2 had great fun taking part in a carousel of activities this morning. All the children had the opportunity of making a musical shaker, a headdress, a Brazilian flag & a collage of an animal from the Amazon Rainforest.
Well done one to all the children in Years 1 & 2 for their amazing non-chronological reports on Brazil.
Years 1&2 worked together in literacy today. We spent the morning identifying the key features of a non-chronological report. The children then spent the afternoon researching the Rio Carnival.
