Willow Class had a brilliant time visiting Leeds Castle. We acted out the story of the Swan Princess and looked round the castle.
We designed and made bridges out of spaghetti and marshmallows. Then tested how strong they were by adding pennies.
Year 1 became reporters and interviewed each other to help us write a recount on our visit to Leeds Castle.
We designed and made clay castles which the children enjoyed.
Clever hands club joined in with lots of activities to develop their fine motor control for writing. From miniature skittles and balancing chairs to shape tracing threading and transient art. Even our snack of blueberries practised a pincer movement!
The children in art club had a great time making Halloween ghosts this afternoon.
Thank you to all the parents that attended our first Year 1 Express Event of the year. It was lovely to see so many of you and the children were pleased to see you and share their work.
We were all excited to go to the woodland on Wednesday for literacy. We pretended we were Superworm popping out of the ground and used our senses to say what we could hear, see, smell and feel. Lots of spiderwebs!
The children in Willow Class had a fantastic time completing the mini mudder. Great achievements made by all.
Year One had an amazing time on the inflatables.
