All year 2 children have been introduced to the phonics programme, ‘teach your monster to read’. Some of our clever little monsters have completed the first stage of the online phonics game and received a certificate in assembly from Mrs Andrews. Well done to those of you working hard at home on your phonics!
Year 2 have been working very hard on learning the time so far this week. It has been very difficult for everyone, although year 2 have been resilient and persisted with developing their understanding of telling the time. We will be continuing to work on time over the next week.
Look at our amazing carnival masks that we made in art. We looked at a variety of masks from all different carnivals around the world and designed our own. Mrs Pullen has made our masks look even better on our wonderful display.

The children in nursery, reception and key stage 1 had a visit from the “Mr Junk Man” on Friday. He brought in lots of instruments he has made out of junk materials and we all had great fun creating music as part of an orchestra.
