We had lots of fun in Card Game Club today. The children played brilliantly together and taught each other a variety of different games. We played Pokemon, Solitaire, Crazy Eights, Top Trumps, Twizzle and Bonk.
Year 5 enjoyed decorating Christmas cookies (lovingly made by Miss Stringer) for the Christmas Fair. They enjoyed eating them even more!
I think you’ll all agree that Year 5 looked very smart on Christmas Jumper Day. They wore a wide variety, including some amazing Christmas ties, tshirts and even a Santa outfit.
Year 5 had a fantastic science lesson this week. We investigated different materials to find out which one would be best to replace a vein. Their predictions and observations were very impressive, here are some photos of their written results.
A fantastic final performance of our KS2 Christmas production today, well done! You all sung brilliantly and some of your dance moves were quite impressive!
In year 5 today, we carried out some role play to demonstrate how blood travels around our body. The children produced some fantastic work and really understood the journey the blood takes.
Year 5 went to see their amazing art work displayed as an art gallery today. Their work looked very professional and I’m sure they will fly off the shelves!
Tuesday was a busy day as we took 33 children to an indoor athletics tournament over on the island. Years 3&4 competed in the morning with Years 5&6 competing after lunch. Birch Class had a fantastic final clarinet lesson of the term today. As well as practicing their clarinet skills, Mr Vinall played some interesting music games! We look forward to next term!
Year 5 produced some fantastic art work in the style of Georges Seurat. They used cotton buds to paint a pointillism picture. They achieved some brilliant and effective pieces of art.🎨
