Year 5 had a very energetic afternoon with Lewis today. They used their skills from previous weeks to pass the ball without it being intercepted. Some excellent defending, well done!
Year 5 were computer whizzes today and created their own codes to program different characters using the Scratch Junior app.
We had a lot of fun in year 5 creating simple algorithms to build a tower of plastic cups.
This afternoon, we took 10 children over to the Oasis Academy for a Cross Country event. I’m delighted to say that we came back with 4 medals! Year 5 conducted a science investigation this afternoon, testing different surfaces for friction. We discovered that the hall created less friction than any other surface.
Year 5 had their first lesson playing the clarinet today! Mr Vinall was very impressed with their efforts.
Year 5 practised their passing and shooting skills today by trying to knock over as many cones as possible. They worked really hard and had lots of fun.
Lots of fun and giggles were had this morning when year 5 had a turn on the inflatables. A big thank you to Mr Gladwell and year 6 for sharing this event with us.
Year 5 had their last express event of the academic year today and enjoyed designing their ideal bedroom. A big thank you to everyone that came in and joined us, especially on such a hot afternoon!
Year 5 combined nature and maths this afternoon when carrying out some investigations outside on the field and in the woodlands. They proved harder than the children first thought- especially trying to find a right angle in nature!
