A big thank you to all of the parents and grandparents that came in to our Express event today. The children had a great time designing their ‘ideal space’ using catalogues and magazines to help them think about what would go in their ideal space and how this reflects their personality and identity.
Sycamore class had a great time today learning about African drumming and how to play the drums as a group.
‘Children should not be allowed to use YouTube until they are at secondary school.’ This was the hot topic of debate in year 6 today! Year 6 had a fantastic day of fun in the sun on Tuesday whilst bouncing and sliding on a range of inflatables. They started the day by making their own picnic, which they ate at lunchtime. More memories were made for Team 6 as they become leavers 2015.
Year 6 were kept busy this morning whilst helping to take delivery of tree stump stools to go around our fire pit. Although year 6 were sad that they will not get to use them in the woodland area, they were very happy to help arrange them.
It was lovely to see parents come in and join their children in celebrating our Tomorrow’s World topic at the same time as taking a trip down memory lane. Year 6 made the most of the sunshine and only having 8 members of Team 6 today while taking full advantage of having such an amazing woodland area. They started the morning on a nature walk, collecting things to make a nature picture with and then they made camps using blankets and pegs.
