Year 6 have spent the week working on persuasive adverts for imaginary theme park rides that they created. All of their hard work came together today when they used the iPads to create radio adverts. The results were amazing!
Year 6 have worked incredibly hard over the last 2 days, designing and making moving models of fairground rides. Every model contains a moving mechanism: either a cam or a pulley. Next week we will be evaluating the effectiveness of our creations against our original design criteria.
Year 6 had an amazing day at Thorpe Park at the start of the term and kicked off their ‘Scream Machine’ topic with a bang. Lots of fun was had on many of the rides and Sycamore class behaved impeccably throughout the entire day.
Sycamore class proved you are never too old to dress up! Some amazing costumes meant that year 6 was a very scary place to be on the last day of term. Well done to Josh who won the prize for scariest costume.
Wow! What a term and what an Express event! In the afternoon we paired up and raced each other around the course against the timer. A big well done to Lucie … Continue reading
Year 5 and 6 had an amazing time on Tuesday when they took part in a steel drumming workshop. The children learnt to play the drums brilliantly and then finished the day by performing to the rest of the school.
We couldn’t be more proud of the new year 6 children who received their new green fleeces today. Big smiles all round, from children and staff! We look forward to seeing them ‘lead the way and set the example’ over the coming academic year.
