Year 6 were the last class to attempt the obstacle course and challenges set! We had an awesome time and there were lots of examples of the children working together to solve some tricky problems.
Well done to the four Year 6 children who took part in the laser rush competition this afternoon. Considering we were one team member down we still managed to come third! A special well done to Callum for scoring the highest points overall.
As part of our topic, ID, we have been collecting data on the difference traits that we have in the class. With the data we collated, we spent Monday morning making pie charts to show our results.
Year 6 were taught how to throw the frisbee correctly on Tuesday! It wasn’t as easy as it sounds! We shall continue learning this new sport next week!
This afternoon we welcomed parents into Sycamore Class to help us with our DT project – making Victorian Slums. The children worked fantastically in small groups and we are now onto the painting stage!
On Monday afternoon, Sycamore Class made, stirred and tasted gruel! With the help of some adults, we predicted and made gruel, Victorian style! The results were interesting! (Some of the children actually liked it?!) Below are some photos from our afternoon.
Last week, we went over to Maidstone and competed in a cross country competiton. The course was a tough one and our children ran superbly. A massive well done to Carys who won her race! Below are some photos from the event.
On Thursday, we had a girls football match at home against Greenfields. This was the first game of our league fixtures. Unfortunately, we lost 3-0 but will have the chance for revenge as we travel to Greenfields later in the term!
