Oak class are very excited by our new musical instruments in our garden. We have had lots of fun trying out all the different noises we can make! We love making music!

On Monday Oak and Cherry Classes were visited by some interesting guests with lots of legs. We met Rosa the tarantula and several cockroaches. We all learnt lots of new things and some of us were incredibly brave and held both Rosa and the cockroaches.

We had a very exciting visitor on Friday. The Junkman. He let us be really loud and make lots of music, using lots of strange instruments. The flipflopaphone was a favourite by many! We learnt that you can turn anything into a musical instrument and all of us can be fabulous musicians!
The children in nursery, reception and key stage 1 had a visit from the “Mr Junk Man” on Friday. He brought in lots of instruments he has made out of junk materials and we all had great fun creating music as part of an orchestra.
Oak class are loving their newly decorated book corner and are enjoying spending some of their child initiated time looking sitting quietly and looking at books. Even the adults love it too!
Oak Class had so much fun getting messy on Friday! They showed great expertise in completing all their challenges.
Well done Lauren Bond, Oak class nominated her for being the class ‘best friend’ and she recieved a certificate and trophy at the Beverley Fisher Memorial Service. Keep up the good work next year Lauren!
Oak class have ended their first year at school in style with a bouncy obstacle and water slide afternoon and a party. Well done Oak class for a fantastic year, you have all worked so hard and been so well behaved, you deserve all the celebrations you have had this week.
