Oak class enjoyed taking part in this terms tribal sporting event and did a great job of jumping in and out of hoops as many times as they could. Thank you to Mr Driver and our Year 6 tribal leaders for helping us to take part.
Oak class invited their families into the classroom for the start of our term 3 sharing event. We performed a song and then retold the story of the 3 Little pigs using actions. We then shared stories (and a biscuit) with our families.
Oak class have been demonstrating their developing physical skills in the woodland area this week. We have seen lots of climbing, balancing, jumping and swinging.
Today we started our termly learning project with a walk around our local environment. We enjoyed looking at different buildings and talking about the features and materials. We have enjoyed watching “Number blocks” to support our maths learning. We then used cubes to print our own number blocks.
Oak class used paint, glitter and chalks to recreate the fireworks they have seen this week.
After learning about the life cycle of an oak tree, the children in Oak class went hunting for leaves and then after observing what they looked like they used pencil and paper to draw a picture.
Look how much our plants have grown over the holiday! This week Oak class have planted out the bean plants in soil and put them in the greenhouse. We cant wait to see how much they grow!
To start our learning project this term, Oak class have explored different apps on the i pads.
Oak class had the opportunity to learn about a very different type of fruit this week. The Baobab fruit all the way from Malawi!
