On Friday 19th April, we reintroduced the weekly celebration assembly. All entries in the ‘Praise and Thank you’ book were read out and children congratulated on their achievements. In addition, we have started to have a weekly ‘star of the week’ in each class to recognise a child that has achieved above and beyond expectations. This may be academic achievement or showing an excellent approach to any other aspect of school life. ‘Stars’ will also be named on our weekly newsletters. Finally we will be naming and celebrating the ‘Mathlete of the week’ every week. This will be awarded to the child (in years 1-6) who has scored the greatest number of points on Mathletics in the week.
