On Tuesday 1st July a team of year 5 and 6 pupils attended the Key steps gymnastics final representing Sheppey and Sittingbourne, having qualified after the local competition in June.
The competition was held at Pegasus Gymnastics club in Maidstone and there were over 300 competitiors from all over Kent.
Rosie tribe our local Kent school games organiser commented that the standard of gymnastics was very high and she congratulated all of the competitors.
Our team represented both the school and their district very well. They had been training very hard twice a week during the term and their dedication paid off as they performed extremly well on the day. Although our team didn’t medal they achieved very good scores, particularly in the vault.
Mrs Franks was very proud of the mature and hardworking attitude the team displayed throughout the competition, and they thoroughly deserved their gold sport award for representing their district.
Well done Team Kemsley!
