This week we have created our own fantastic stories.
We started off by making a class story map – using a long piece of wallpaper – to record all our ideas in picture form.
We then added lots of great things, such as adjectives, adverbs, similes and the character’s feelings.
After that, the children learned about speech punctuation, connectives and effective language to improve their writing. At the end of the week, we used all the excellent things we learnt and wrote our own story based on a drawing by local artist Richard Foale.
The stories were absolutely amazing and I am proud of everyone in Beech Class, they worked extremely hard and it shows in the high level of work they produced.
