For World Book Day, Year 2 was given the country Australia and our book was called Possum Magic.
It is a story about a possum, called Hush, who is invisible but wants to be normal again. However, Grandma Poss can’t remember how to change Hush back and they have to try lots of ‘people food’ to find the right combination.
We tried some food from the story. Vegemite sandwiches and Pavlova made Hush’s tail and body visible again.
We also made our own possums and described them using effective language.
