Year 3 were focusing on the Antarctic for world book day. We read the story ‘Penguin’ and wrote a book review based on this book.
Later, we explored the reason for igloos; once we had an understanding of the need for these ‘houses’ in the Antarctic, we decided to create our own through a variety of materials, marshmallows, paper cup and sugar icing.
The children had a wonderful day and made a great amount of effort with their outfits for the day! Well done to everyone for their positive attitude and behaviour throughout the day.
