Maple Class spent the afternoon exploring the varied diets of animals. We discussed the differences between carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and classfield a range of animals. We then examined the ‘droppings’ of a number of animals in order to identify which animal the dropping belonged to. We noticed that the samples of herbivores had hay, grass and seeds in them and were soft and of a light brown/greenish colour. The samples of carnivores, however, were darker and harder.
